The London Asian Film Festival is an annual festival dedicated to espressing the drive and spirit of Asian independent Cinema and cultures of South Asia. Now in its thirteenth year, the festival provides a unique international platform for Asians working in film and media around the world. The films shown in this festival are 'Independent' , 'Art-house' and the best of Bollywood. The screenings and events include feature films, documentaries, short-film competition, panel discussions, award ceremony, education and commmunity screenings. The London Asian Film Festival Award ceremony will include 10 awards such as Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Male & Female), Original Script, Audience Choice Best Film, Best Cross-over film and Short Film Competition winner & runner-up. This year the Academy Award winner for Costume Design Bhanu Athaiya will be honoured with The Lifetime Achievement Award.
